Black Point Historic Preserve Seeks an Executive Director
Historic Black Point, one of the oldest mansions on Geneva Lake, enjoyed an extremely successful inaugural 2007 season with over 8,500 visitors. Black Point Historic Preserve is seeking a charismatic Executive Director to continue our momentum into the 2008 season.  Reporting to and under the direction of the Board, the ideal candidate must possess excellent presentation skills, pay extreme attention to detail, and be able to supervise the training of volunteers and oversee our gift shop.  Applicant must demonstrate knowledge in budgeting, operational and project management.  This person will also be very adaptable to change and be able to operate in a fast-paced seasonal environment.  Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks is a must.  Fundraising from public and private sources is essential as applicant will represent BPHP to the public.  The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to follow through on projects from start to finish.  Candidate will have a strong proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, managing our database and contributing to our monthly newsletter.  The director will look forward to using a proven track record in development and educational outreach to the community to continue the success of Black Point.
House museum experience is a plus, but not required.  Art and/or history background helpful. College degree preferred.  Compensation commensurate with experience. Must be able to start by April 1 or before.
